The foundation of this work practice relies more on company culture, employee morale, workers’ passion, and motivation. You need to have an effective system that balances all these factors altogether.

Here are some key strategies that you can apply to promote employee productivity:

1. Create A Functional Workspace

If your company has applied flexible working times and styles, you must modify your work office to fit those new conditions. It’s a sound decision to hire an office fit-out specialist who can spruce up the layout and design of your workspace. Therefore, you must sustain and designate your staff with a balanced workload. Staff burnout can be due to high workloads that strain mental health. On the contrary, too little workload can make employees feel bored, lenient, lazy, and unchallenged, which decreases productivity.

In your organization, discussing ways to manage the workload with your employees is crucial—set rules, schedules, inputs and outputs, and so on. Utilize tools to determine and track employees’ productivity at a given time. They should have a list of tasks to go through every day and be able to complete them timely. Working as a team is always beneficial for many companies. While working alone allows employees to practice creativity and personal growth, there are also other benefits when teamwork and collaboration are involved. Business growth and productivity will increase when innovation levels are high. Therefore, invest in technology, tools, software, and systems that make collaboration convenient and successful. Whether your employees meet physically or work remotely, they should be able to collaborate effectively through the tools provided.
